Lakshmi showcases a collection of eco-printed, handwoven saris by Vriksh, in Odisha. Eco-printing is an unique, natural-dye art form from Australia, where a variety of leaves, flowers, and twigs are used for contact printing on fabrics, drawing pigments from the same plants to create interesting, and often surprising natural prints. This exquisite, pale peach, Linen Tussar sari is printed with a pattern of layered leaf prints, in blush, smoky pink, ash grey, charcoal, toffee , agate, and sand beige, set against a watercolour-like background. The graceful, and delicate seashell palette of the sari, is enhanced by the contrasting, rustically woven, linen pallu in teal, ochre and rust, and the bright canary yellow selvedge. This sari is accompanied by a matching eco-printed printed blouse.
