Lakshmi showcases a collection of eco-printed, handwoven saris by Vriksh, in Odisha. Eco-printing is an unique, natural-dye art form from Australia, where a variety of leaves, flowers, and twigs are used for contact printing on fabrics, drawing pigments from the same plants to create interesting, and often surprising natural prints. This stunning, Tussar sari has a stone beige pallu, that is printed with a pattern of layered leaf prints, in charcoal, peat brown, mustard, ochre, and ash grey, set against a watercolour-like background. The graceful pallu of the sari, is enhanced by the rich, lustrous solid-colour, golden beige body. This sari is accompanied by an elegant golden-beige, tussar silk blouse to match the sari.
